Concurrent Session A: Cooperative Local Solutions

Pam Groat

PGPam has been a board member of the Bridge City Bicycle Co-op for two years and is currently a co-chair. Throughout her time with the BCBC, she has been volunteering at their landfill shift to help bring usable bikes and parts to the shop for the community to use. She also works at the City of Saskatoon as a Project Engineer in the Sustainability division, contributing to waste-related projects such as the Curbside Organics Program and Recovery Park.

 

 

 

Dave Palibroda

DPDave is an avid cyclist, and uses his bicycles as his form of transportation year-round. He has also initiated and/or been involved with numberous non-profits such as Road Map 2020, Saskatoon Cycles, and Saskatoon Green Drinks. He is the President of the Saskatoon CarShare Co-op and has been involved with the SCC for many years. Currently, Dave works at the University of Saskatchewan.

 

 


 

 

Victoria Morris

VMVictoria Morris is Executive Director of Saskatchewan Co-operative Association (SCA). She joined SCA in 2006, managing the Saskatchewan Co-operative Youth Program and co-operative education programming for several years, and has been Executive Director since 2008. 

Prior to joining SCA, she held several positions with CBC focusing on communications, managed a small non-profit in BC, and coordinated a multi-year, Saskatchewan-wide multicultural youth project. 

Victoria is a District Council Delegate and former Board Member of Affinity Credit Union. She has served on several other boards, including Co-operatives and Mutuals Canada and Core Neighbourhood Youth Co-op, and 12 years on the Canadian Community Economic Development Network board. She was a founding member of several national youth networks and committees, and has volunteered with numerous organizations both locally and nationally. 

Victoria holds a Master of Business Administration in Community Economic Development, from Cape Breton University, with a specialization in Strategic Leadership.
