Summer Recycling Ambassadors

The Saskatchewan Waste Reduction Council is hiring Summer Recycling Ambassadors.
These individuals will carry out promotional, educational and research activities for
provincial recycling programs: the used oil materials program operated by the
Saskatchewan Association for Resource Recovery Corp. (SARRC), the beverage container
recycling program operated by SARCAN and the electronics recycling program operated
by Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA-SK).

Duties will include:
· Educate the public at events for the used oil recycling programs, including using
  the Mr. Oil Drop and Auntie Freeze mascots to generate interest in the program
· visit oil retailers and municipal offices and provide program materials as
  necessary
· conduct customer service evaluations on SARCAN depots and follow up as
  required

Qualifications
· completed two years of University study
· interpersonal skills
· strong organizational skills
· ability to coordinate public events
· ability to work independently and as part of a team
· record keeping skills
· interest / training in environmental studies
· clean driving record

The positions require extensive travel around the province and working most weekends
during the summer.


Duration: May 6 - August 23 (16 weeks)
Wage: $16.50/hour, 40 hours/week
