Ease My Load: Help out the WRW mascot Atlas, by reducing the load he has to carry. Atlas carries the world on his shoulders, and by reducing our garbage, we can 'ease' his load. Take a photo of yourself doing something related to waste reduction, and include Atlas. Upload it to the national WRW website: www.wrwcanada.com. See contest page for more details.
Recycle My Cell: Old cell phones kicking around? Recycle them! Its easy to host a Recycle My Cell collection box at your school/post-secondary institution. Visit wrwcanada.com to sign up! The contest is only open to Canadian schools and post secondary institutions, but anybody can register to keep a box at their school, business or office all year long. If you are looking to sign your school up for the contest, see the contest page. This year there are two options for submitting your collection boxes for the Recycle My Cell challenge:
- Drop off your Recycle My Cell Collection Box at any Canada Post Location,
- Or Call: 1-888-550-6333 for pick up.
To be eligible for prizes, entries must be received by Dec. 8, 2011.
