Paint Industry Statistics

In 2000, the 120 Canadian manufacturers of paint and coatings had total sales near $2,0 billion dollars. Sales are divided between the trade sales paint market (40%) and the industrial coatings market (60%). An estimated 11,000 workers are employed in: industries supplying paint raw materials, the manufacture of paints and coatings, the sale and distribution of paints and their industrial or commercial application.
