Superdups launches The Compact Disc Recycling Center of America

The center is accepting unwanted CDs and DVDs from both consumers and companies. The campaign will promote the importance of recycling compact discs, provide a location for them, and increase community awareness of related environmental issues caused by unwanted discs being placed in the trash. The Recycling Center’s website (see below) is designed to build a national network of registered members and supporters that pledge to recycle their disc waste.

The center will also accept discs in their original packaging. The center will separate and recycle any paper components of the package as well.

The center asks new members to place the CD Recycling Center logo on any new compact disc releases, thus promoting to the end user how and where to recycle it when they are finished.

Those interested can to www.cdrecyclingcenter.org to sign up as a supporter. Mailing labels can then be printed out.
