City of Saskatoon Sells Compost Bins and Rain Barrels

The City of Saskatoon is selling Earth Machine compost bins and Scepter rain barrels at the Highway 7 Grass and Leaf depot only, open until November 9, 2010.

The depot is located at Highway 7 at the intersection with 11th St. W (on the north side of the highway across from the Poorboy Gas station).

The site is open every day from 9 am to 7 pm (6:00 pm after October 1).

Price to Saskatoon residents will be $45 for compost bins, $50 for rain barrels, including taxes.

Only cheques (made out to the City of Saskatoon) will be accepted. No cash, debit, or credit cards.

Quantities are limited to one compost bin and rain barrel per household.

Sale is restricted to Saskatoon residents only. Purchasers must provide proof of Saskatoon residency, such as a driver's licence (showing the address), or a utility bill.

Please note, as the City has already reduced the price of these bins for the public, they are NOT eligible for the $10 rebate.
