Saskatchewan Company Offers Solar Homes - Ready to Move

Suncatcher Solar Homes is a new Saskatchewan company operating outside Saskatoon near Pike Lake. It offers an innovative home design that makes solar energy an affordable option for today's home buyers. Custom-built Ready To Move (RTM) houses look and feel like a standard home. South-facing panoramic windows let sunshine in to heat the home in winter. The solar energy system also runs small appliances and entertainment systems. Optional active solar thermal panels and/or wind generators are available, and each home comes with back-up propane and a back-up generator.

They’ve built a prototype house 30 km west of Saskatoon.
