Sask. Eco-Network Launches Green Directory
November 26, 2007
Launching its new green product website directory on November 28, 2007, Saskatchewan Eco-Network hopes to help promote green consumer habits by assisting in the process of making informed decisions. Due to the rapidly growing concerns for the environment, information about and access to environmentally friendly products is in high demand.
Saskatchewan Green Directory is in its first phase; the in-depth, easy-to-navigate centre of information targets homeowners, renovators, contractors, and green thinkers. This target audience, and all members of the public, will have free access to green information relating to energy- and water-efficient products and systems, as well as to listings of Saskatchewan suppliers. In its second phase, the website will list products and service suppliers of green building materials.
All relevant local suppliers are listed free of charge, but are welcome to enhance their listings for a small fee, which simply aids in the maintenance of the website. Should a business be interested in being listed, please visit the site to contact Saskatchewan Eco-Network.
Saskatchewan Eco-Network is a non-profit, non-governmental organization. With assistance from the Office of Energy Conservation and Saskatchewan Environment, this group has cooperatively supported the creation of this beneficial site. Low Energy Design Ltd. developed the selection criterion by which products and services were determined to be either energy- or water-efficient.
